Junior Developer, AI Platform: Kaidera

This position is at Kaidera, a product of Adaptech AI Ltd.

Read this before anything else

Kaidera is the operating platform for enterprise AI, and it is already built and in production. We are hiring a junior developer who wants to learn how a serious AI platform is built, and who is ready to work hard to become very good at it.

This is a role for an up-and-coming developer. You do not need to know everything. You do need to be curious, careful and keen to improve, and to take feedback well.

About Kaidera

Kaidera lets organisations build and run software with governed teams of AI Workers. It brings specialist AI Workers, persistent memory, human approval controls, project files and administration together in one platform. Kaidera is a product of Adaptech AI Ltd.

The role

You will join the engineering team and work on the Kaidera AI platform, learning from the Lead Software Developer we are hiring alongside this role and from Amad Malik, Founder and CTO. You will be given real work with proper support: small, well-defined tasks at first, then more responsibility as you show what you can do.

What you will do

  • Build features and fix bugs across the platform, on the Python backend and the TypeScript front end.
  • Write automated tests for your own work and learn what good tests look like.
  • Take part in code review, both receiving feedback and reviewing others.
  • Learn the team's development lifecycle: how work is specified, built, tested, released and supported.
  • Write clear notes and documentation for what you build.
  • Use AI coding tools well, with the habit of checking and understanding everything they produce.

How you will grow

  • Regular pairing and code review with a senior engineer who has made mentoring a priority.
  • A clear picture of what good looks like at each level, and honest feedback against it.
  • Exposure to the whole platform: APIs, databases, delivery pipelines and AI integration.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Solid fundamentals in Python, and a working grasp of JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, and a good understanding of how REST APIs work.
  • Comfort with Git and the basics of working in a team on shared code.
  • Evidence that you build things: a degree project, a bootcamp portfolio, personal projects or earlier internships.
  • Real curiosity about AI and how large language models are used in software.
  • A willingness to learn quickly, ask good questions early and act on feedback.
  • Clear written and spoken communication in English.

Advantageous

  • Projects of your own that call a large language model through an API.
  • Familiarity with FastAPI, React or Next.js, or with Docker.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • An interest in aviation or other regulated industries.

The right person

A motivated early-career developer who wants to be mentored, wants responsibility and is willing to put in the effort to become a strong engineer on a real product.

It will not suit someone looking for a role with no feedback, or someone who wants to work only on narrow tasks and never see the wider system.

Package and working model

  • A salary, agreed in discussion.
  • Remote-first, with overlap on European and Gulf working hours.
  • Full time.

Next step

If this fits, send a short note about something you have built, what you learned from it and why you want to work on an AI platform. A link to your code or a project is welcome.
